Who is responsible for which data
- Website visitors, app account holders and testers (for example plumbers and gas engineers using the app): we are the data controller of the data you give us.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact your customers.

Who we share data with
We use these service providers to run the website and app. They process data only on our instructions or under their own terms:
- Twilio: sends the SMS reminder messages.
- Back4App: hosts the app's database and stores account and customer data.
- Formspree: receives and forwards the tester sign-up form.
- Google (Google Fonts, Google Play) and Apple (App Store): deliver website fonts and distribute the app and subscriptions.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, countries outside the UK, including the United States. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, UK adequacy regulations (including the UK-US data bridge), or equivalent protections provided by the supplier.
How long we keep data
- Tester sign-up details: for the duration of testing, and then deleted within a reasonable period after testing ends.
- Account and customer data in the app: while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep something to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to its use, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email ask@dartfields.com. If you are one of a plumber's or engineer's customers, please contact them first, as they decide how your data is used; we will help them to respond.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls with our hosting provider. No system is completely secure, but we take protecting your data seriously.
Children
The website and app are intended for businesses and are not directed at children.
